Cleaning up the River

The Tennessee River Rescue has been cleaning up our river for 24 years and will be doing it again on Saturday, October 6th.  Almost 1000 volunteers will gather on the shore, on the water, under the water, and along the creeks of the Tennessee River Watershed in the Chattanooga region.  The goal is to pick up trash and remove debris that litters the river.  The Tennessee River Rescue is divided into severalzones to focus on specific areas.  Zone leaders will provide drinks, bug spray and materials to help gather the trash.  Individuals and groups are encouraged to participate.  If you plan to bring a group to the Tennessee River Rescue please register in advance.
