Dunlap, TN –February 20, 2015: Dunlap is a small town that knows how to throw a great party, one neighbors and visitors will long remember for the music they heard, the fun they shared, and the beauty of the Valley. Valley Fest is, above all, about having a great time outdoors with family and friends. Begin your days full of fun by following the parade, led by the Mayor himself on his unicycle!
No one knows more about how to party well than this year’s Valley Fest Saturday night headliner, CONFEDERATE RAILROAD, http://www.confederaterailroad.net. Entertaining music fans for more than twenty years, Confederate Railroad will appeal to all the people in the audience, young, old, and in-between. Some of their most popular songs include: She Took It Like A Man; Jesus and Mama; Queen of Memphis; Trashy Women; When You Leave That Way You Can Never Go Back; She Never Cried; and Daddy Never Was the Cadillac Kind. The group has 18 charted hits and five million albums sold.
Although the headliner plays country music, this is not a “country music festival,” a “bluegrass festival,” or any other one genre festival. This is a celebration of the diverse music enjoyed in the Sequatchie Valley. No matter what kind of music you love, it is a great time. This year, as a special treat, Sunday’s performances will feature all gospel music, which is a good listen no matter your religion. There will be two outdoor stages with the spring green of the mountains serving as their backdrop. On one outdoor stage, the “Citizen's Tri-County Bank Stage,” Music Makers of Dunlap will present performances by its talented local music students. The schedule for the “Mountain Valley Bank Stage” is posted at www.valleyfestonline.com and will be:
