Could Alcohol Abuse Cause Dementia?

Researchers from the University of Exeter Medical School tracked thousands of American adults for about 20 years.  They found that middle-aged adults with a history of alcohol abuse are at increased risk of developing severe memory impairment later in life.

Dr. Michael Osborne joins us to talk about the potential link between drinking and dementia.  He's a Chattanooga psychiatrist who has a board certification in addiction psychology.
