The 9th annual Chocolate Fling is on Sunday April 24, 2016 at the Chattanoogan Hotel.
The Epilepsy Foundation of Southeast Tennessee is known for providing free services for families and individuals dealing with Epilepsy. In addition to support groups in Chattanooga and Cleveland they provide education about epilepsy and also financial assistance to families in need of medications. Chocolate Fling is the annual fund raiser for the Epilepsy Foundation, offering a showcase for the region's best chocolatiers. Tickets are available by calling 423-634-1772 or online. There is a $5 discount for advance ticket purchase. Tickets will be available at the door.
In addition to the decadent delights of chocolate, attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in medical research by providing a small sample of their blood to the world's largest biorepository. ORIG3N is the home of Life Capsule, a collection of donated blood cells that can be used in medical research and stored in case of donor need in the future. These blood cells can be used to generate stem cells for research and testing of rare genetic diseases. ORIG3N will be at the Chocolate Fling with the Epilepsy Foundation of Southeast Tennessee and also at the Riverbend Festival in June.
