The 15th annual Grateful Gobbler 5K starts 8:00 AM on Thanksgiving Day, November 27th at Coolidge Park.
All of the proceeds from this event will benefit the Shelter for Homeless Families. The shelter is near the Community Kitchen and differs from most shelters in that it does not receive government funding and is not required to separate families in shelter situations. At the Shelter for Homeless Families the family unit can stay together in the same facilities. Proceeds from the Grateful Gobbler will help finance repairs and maintenance for the new shelter.
Grateful Gobbler walkers often participate as teams or everyone in the family gets involved. Festive costumes are encouraged.
