New Music: 'LIVE in the Studio' with A Man Called Bruce

Local musician Bruce Livolsi is a one-man band known as A Man Called Bruce. He joins us to talk about his new album LIVE in the Studio.

From his Web site:

Who is A Man Called Bruce? Bruce’s roots are deep in rock n’ roll, and his heart beats with the blues. His new album (soon to be released) featuring 18 songs was recorded “LIVE in the Studio.” The previous album, “RESONATOR” features 11 blues and roots songs all performed on an iron-body resonator guitar. Both records explain why he calls his music Swamp-O-Phonic. A Brief History At the end of 2012, A Man Called Bruce embarked on his first cross-country tour that included shows in Charlotte, Nashville, Memphis, Oklahoma City, Albuquerque, Phoenix, Tempe, Tucson, El Paso, and Austin, TX. His passion for songwriting is inspired by legendary writers such as Bob Dylan, Lennon & McCartney, Leonard Cohen, and many more. After decades of playing in duos, trios and rock bands, Bruce placed his entire focus on songwriting. In 2010, after a year of writing, he released his first solo album entitled, “Tennessee,” which is available here in the online store, on iTunes, Amazon, CD Baby and nearly 70 other online retailers. Since then, he has released two more albums, Americana Rocks (2012) and RESONATOR (2013). Performing as a solo act (ala, one man band), Bruce plays regularly at traditional venues in the southeast. He has made several live TV appearances on WRCB-TV, Chattanooga’s NBC affiliate, and has done live & recorded radio performances for WUTC-FM in Chattanooga, TN; WDVX-FM in Knoxville, TN; WREK-FM in Atlanta, GA; and Power 90.5 FM in Cullowhee, NC.
