Read20 promotes reading to children at least 20 minutes a day in support of literacy as well as providing age appropriate books for children in the region. Now until December 27 Barnes and Noble Booksellers are working to provide books to be distributed by Read20.
Customers of the book store can purchase books to be donated directly to Read20 from now until December 27, 2014. In addition to book donations, Barnes and Noble is hosting a 3 day fundraising event November 29, 30 and December 1. Even the B&N Cafe is getting involved. Some of the proceeds from the purchase of a cheese cake will support Read20 and other literacy programs in the region.
The free Read20 app will provide information on locations and events for the Read Mobile and other opportunities to hear books read to children of all ages. The Read20 app also provides games and entertainment for children.
