Ringgold brings back Depot entertainment programs this weekend

Ringgold, GA – From a media release:

City Manager Dan Wright said that while the 9 p.m. - daylight curfew continues in the aftermath of the tornado, arrangements are being made to accommodate those leaving the Sensational Second Weekends programs at the Ringgold Depot, corner of Depot Street and U.S. 41.

"People from our community and the entire region need the opportunity to walk away from the destruction, sit down and enjoy and evening of family entertainment," Wright said. "We feel it is important that these regular opportunities return as quickly as possible."

Two musical shows will occur this weekend including Sacred Sounds Fridays and the Ringgold Opry.

The Share America Foundation will host Two-time Dove Award nominees the Marksmen Quartet on Friday, May 13 at 7:30 p.m. Also appearing is Country gospel soloist Jim Ricketts of Dayton, Tenn. Randall Franks from TV's "In the Heat of the Night" will emcee. Donations for tickets are adults: $5, Children 5 and under free with adult. For more information, visit www.shareamericafoundation.org.

The Ringgold Opry features acoustic music highlighting performers from throughout the region on Saturday, May 14 at 7 p.m. A donation is received.

Wright said parking for both events is available on the street near the Depot, in the Event Parking area on South Depot Street and at the City Hall parking lot.
Ringgold City Police Chief Dan Bilbrey said that his officers will be aware of the anticipated ending times of these programs.

"We will also share this information with any county officers who may be assisting in the area," he said. "We just encourage anyone who is leaving one of these two events and stopped by an officer to share that with the officer. We will know when those attending or working at the events have left the city."
