Registration is open for the 2014 Rump Run, a 5k race/1-mile fun run taking place on March 15th. Organizers hope to raise $40,000 for the Greater Chattanooga Colon Cancer Foundation.
From a media release:
The Greater Chattanooga Rump Run 5K Run/Walk for Colon Cancer Awareness will take place on Saturday, March 15 at Enterprise South Nature Park in Chattanooga.
Runners, walkers and colon cancer survivors will come together to raise awareness for the importance of early colon cancer screening, and to provide support for those affected by the nation’s second deadliest cancer.
All of the funds raised by the event will support the Greater Chattanooga Colon Cancer Foundation’s efforts to increase awareness of colorectal cancer, improve access to screenings and offer support to those affected by the disease in the greater Chattanooga area.
The Greater Chattanooga Rump Run is a joint collaborative led by University Surgical Associates, Erlanger Health System, Memorial Health Care System and Parkridge Health System.
