Shock Theatre Returns To Chattanooga
Michael Edward Miller
Chattanooga, TN – Shock Theatre is back. If you grew up in the 1970 s, you might remember Shock Theatre was a mixture of comedy and horror. Every Saturday night, WTVC Channel 9 showed classic scary movies, hosted by Dr. Shock. His co-host was a puppet named Dingbat. The show started in the 1960s and ended in the late 1970s. Tommy Reynolds, the WTVC program director, played the original host.
It's been decades, but fans are bringing it back, updated with a new cast. Jack Gray is leading the effort, and he's playing the new Dr. Shock. More information about the new Shock Theatre is at their Web site.
