When Zeke Arter came to Chattanooga to attend the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC), he had no idea that the city would become a permanent home for him and his family. After graduating, however, Zeke saw an opportunity to partner with his longtime friend to start his first business, Maple Street Biscuit Company.
On this episode of Start It Up, Zeke talks with Host Monty Bruell about taking the plunge into the restaurant business with absolutely no previous experience. Surprisingly, it has been relatively smooth sailing for both Zeke and his biscuits! He works hard everyday to build a family culture within his company and to connect to the greater community around him.
