Dr. Michio Kaku’s new book The Future Of The Mind: The Scientific Quest To Understand, Enhance, And Empower The Mind will be released in February. He’ll visit the Chattanooga State Community Collegecampus on January 23rd to give Scenic City residents a preview of his new book.
In this interview with WUTC’s Michael Edward Miller, Dr. Kaku discusses how technology could make telepathy and mind control possible. He also talks about computer-aided brain mapping technology that could allow people to upload their minds to the Internet.
“Your personality could live on after you’re dead,” Dr. Kaku says.
In this interview, he also explains why he believes video chatting/Facetime will never be as popular as texting and voice calls, and why he has mixed feelings about The Big Bang Theory sitcom.
Dr. Kaku, a theoretical physicist who helped create string theory, has written several bestselling popular science books about technology and the future of the human race. He also hosts two national syndicated radio and has hosted Sci Fi Science: Physics of the Impossible, a documentary television show based on his book Physics of the Impossible.

Futurist, communicator, and popular figure for science, Dr. Michio Kaku will visit Chattanooga State Community College on Thursday, January 23, 2014, with a unique presentation titled, “The Future of the Mind and Beyond.” This event is free and open to the public. Captioning will be provided for guests with hearing loss.
There will be a book signing from 4:30 – 5:30p.m. at the Chattanooga State Augusta R. Kolwyck library and his public presentation will begin at 6:30 p.m.; doors open at 5:30 p.m. for Chattanooga State students with ID; doors open to the public at 6:00 p.m. The presentation will be held in the Health Fitness Center on the main campus located at 4501 Amnicola Highway.
