UTC's Interior Design Deptartment Partners With Cornerstone Historic Preservation

Students from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga have created concept designs to refurbished dilapidated buildings downtown.

From our news partners at Nooga.com:

For the first time, UTC’s interior design department teamed up with Cornerstones Inc. for a senior project focusing on historic preservation in downtown Chattanooga.

Eight students worked with local architects and designers on elaborate revitalization designs for three buildings: Tadley Building, Mayfield Annex Building and Ross Hotel.

The class is Interior Design 4151 and will be offered annually as a part of UTC's interior design program.

Winners were chosen in several categories.

Two of the winners—Meredith Feira and Hanna Durham—focused on the dilapidated Tadley Building on Martin Luther King Boulevard.
