There are 20 galleries and studios participating in this year's hop, and they're all over Chattanooga -- downtown, the North Shore, the Southside, Highland Park, and South Broad Street. There are a few new venues, including a custom clothing studio called SweetCycle Apparel.
Laura Linz directs the 4 Bridges Arts Festival, presented by the Association for Visual Arts (AVA). Linz joins us to talk about what's new at this year's 4 Bridges, which is coming up on April 14th and 15th at the First Tennessee Pavilion in Chattanooga, Tennessee . It's one of Chattanooga's most prominent art festivals, and it will feature 170 artists this year.
The Association for Visual Arts already has an impact on Chattanooga--they are one of the city's largest arts organizations, with around 600 members. But now AVA is doing even more to connect with the community. Anne Willson, the new executive director, joins us to discuss new partnerships between AVA and nonprofits. Also, Willson discusses a new magazine AVA is producing called The Bridge.
