Memorial Announces Naming of the Guerry Heart and Vascular Center

Chattanooga, TN – Memorial Hospital announces the naming of the newly completed Guerry Heart and Vascular Center today at its dedication and blessing ceremony. The center, named in honor of the Alexander Guerry family, boasts 300,000 square-feet of space including a seven-story patient tower, 96 patient rooms, seven cardiac catheterization rooms, a short stay unit, and St. Anne’s Chapel. The center also offers a healing garden and special quiet patient waiting areas for loved ones who are staying with patients.

UTC Master Chorale's Summer Concert Coming Up 6/19

UTC Master Chorale is pleased to present their 2014 Summer Concert, directed by Dr. J. Kevin Ford. Graduate Student Conductors are Kevin Moore and Blaine Tooley. David Friberg is the organist for the group. Soloists are Laura Marshall, Gabrielle Haston, Jennifer Allen, Bob Sauser and Perry Ward. The concert is free, but a collection will be taken to benefit the Glenn Draper Scholarship Fund for UTC choral music students.

'Breakfast Club' Performing at GEM 6/21

The Breakfast Club®, the longest running, most recognized ‘80’s tribute band in

the United States, return to the GEM Theatre in Calhoun Sat., June 21 at 7:30 p.m.   Breakfast will be served at the Velo Vineyard immediately following the concert.

   The Atlanta-based group, formed in 1993 and the first of its kind, was created to embody the unique spirit of  music performances of the original MTV generation of the 80’s with live vocals and music of the period. That mission remains today.
