Hamilton County Mayor Jim Coppinger and The Partnership for Families, Children and Adults invite you to A Season of Remembrance on Tuesday, December 3rd, 2013 at 10 AM at the Arboretum of the Hamilton Country/Chattanooga Courts Building.

A Season of Remembrance is a time to remember our friends and loved ones whose lives have been disrupted by violent crimes such as domestic violence, child abuse, elder abuse and homicide.

'In the Heat of the Night' Christmas Album Benefits Share America Foundation

NBC network stars, country and bluegrass Hall of Famers joined their voices for drug abuse prevention on a project that created the first major bluegrass collaboration featuring numerous legendary performers with a TV show cast.

"In the Heat of the Night" stars Alan Autry, “Bubba Skinner,” and Randall Franks, “Officer Randy Goode,” organized the effort under Autry-Franks Productions bringing together the cast and numerous stars of country, bluegrass and gospel music to assist.

Chattanooga Community Kitchen Opens Cold Weather Shelter 11/23 & 11/24

As temperatures are predicted to drop below freezing this weekend, the Chattanooga Community Kitchen will open a cold weather shelter from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday nights, November 23th and 24th.

Holiday Tradition: Chattanooga Lighted Boat Parade Sets Sail Nov 29

Chattanooga’s annual Lighted Boats Parade starts November 29th at 7 p.m. It’s been a Chattanooga tradition ushering in the Christmas season for longer than its current organizer Carla Pritchard can remember. She told WUTC's Richard Winham she first saw it when she was a teenager.

Operation Warrior Call Begins November 24th

 On November 24th, Operation Warrior Call will take place nationwide. It’s an effort to create a network for Iraq and Afghanistan war-veterans using phone calls, e-mails, and other forms of communication. The event was created by Troops First, a charity organization dedicated to veterans. 

In this interview, Rick Kell of the Troops First Foundation describes how a veteran network may help soldiers.

Clearspring Yoga Offers Free Introductory Classes at Open House 11/23

Clearspring Yoga is hosting an open house from 12 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday, November 23rd. Along with free ½ hour long introductory classes, they’ll be offering massages and energy healing. Richard Winham talked to Anthony Crutcher and Sallie Beckes, who told him the practice has changed dramatically since she first took classes from a very strict teacher in Louisiana in the 1970’s.
