Dr. McCormack asked me to compile a list of artists I have listened to, and enjoyed, over the brief time I have produced The American Music Hour for WUTC. Oh, the perils of expressing one's opinion publicly. None the less and only trying to help, I give you my new favorites:

Chattanooga, TN – Voices From Home is WUTC's weekly showcase for regional artists and locally recorded live music. The show on Monday, November 11th, will feature two local performers.

WUTC intern Ashley Tipper will feature an interview with Native American Jamie Russell. Following Ashley's interview, Ben Edwards will feature the music of the new local band Andrea Doria.

This month, Cindy features highlights of the Chattanooga Bluegrass Experience concert which was held on Sunday, October 20th at the Chattanooga Market in Cricket Pavilion. We will hear selection by The Lone Mountain Band, Straight Line, and the James King Band. Nanci Griffith's new album 'Winter Marquee' will be featured as the Free Lunch on Thursday, November 7th at noon.

Nanci Griffith has released her new concert CD and DVD, each entitled WINTER MARQUEE. The album was recorded in May of this year at the Tennessee Theatre in Knoxville, TN. Both releases mark Nanci`s return to Rounder Records, and her first live album since 1988`s One Fair Summer Evening. This is her first live concert DVD.

Ramsay Midwood's first album, Shootout at the OK Chinese Restaurant, is practically a hit before its official U.S. release date.

The first album by one Mr. Ramsay Midwood has been rapturously recieved by our listeners. The album has generated a tremendous amount of positive feedback before its official U.S. release date of November 5th.
