Rabbit has been on the air at WUTC since 1993.  Originally a music host on the weekends and the producer/host of Celtic Harvest, she began producing news segments for Around and About Chattanooga in 2006.  Rabbit is an alumna of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga obtaining a BS in Exceptional Education and MPA with a concentration in Nonprofit Management.  Her background includes teaching, technical writing, IT, electronics technician, US Navy veteran and roller derby announcer.  Rabbit and her husband Jack live in Harrison Tennessee.

Flutists Flouting It

Honor Wind Ensemble Concert April 21st at UTC

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga's Music Department presents the Wind Ensemble in concert on April 21, 2012 in the Roland Hayes Concert Hall at the Fine Arts Center on the campus.  The concert will feature guest performer Sherry Burt, a UTC alumna and member of the Air Force Band stationed  in California.  Other guest performers include high school students from the Tennessee All State Band.  The concert is free and open to the public.  The Honor Wind Ensemble performance begins at 5:00 pm.

SARAH Project to protect elders from abuse

The Senior Services department of the Partnership for Families Children and Adults is raising awareness of elder abuse through the SARAH Project.  Safety And Resources And Help is the name of the project and in addition to pubic awareness the project is educating law enforcement officers on the signs of elder abuse.  Future plans include awareness programs for judges as well as supporting legislation to protect elders.  The Senior Services department

Sunlight Shines Through McLeod's 'Sundial,' Casting Shadows

When the accounting firm of Henderson Hutcherson and McCullough decided to remove an old parking hut from the center of their parking lot, the concrete pedestal offered the perfect location for a piece of art that could be shared with everyone who passed by.  They commissioned a work from local sculpture artist John McLeod.  Between the firm's input and McLeod's artistic exploration of their wishes, the piece Sundial was created.

CaribbeanSEA Hosts Beach Blast

The annual beach party to raise funds for CaribbeanSEA, TenneSEA and Kids 4 Clean Water will be held the The Mill on Friday, March 9th beginning at 7:00 pm.  Attendees can expect beach music and a limbo contest. They will also host the competition for the best salsa in town with several restaurants vying for first prize.  The silent auction will feature beach themed items.  Tickets will be available at the door.  Grass skirts and Hawaiian print shirts are encouraged.

Songwriter Workshop on Signal Mountain
