On August 15, 2015 the community gathered for a Memorial Service to honor the service men killed on July 16, 2015 at the Navy Operational Support Center Chattanooga.
The guest speakers included Chattanooga Mayor Andy Berke, Marine Corps Major Michael Abrams, U.S. Navy Lieutenant Commander Timothy White, Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus, Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter and Vice President Joe Biden.
