The Southern Lit Alliance is accepting volunteer applications for the 2015 Celebration of Southern Literature, the premier literary event of the South.
The $35 volunteer package includes a full ticket to the 3-day program at the Tivoli Theatre, as well as a ticket to the opening reception with the writers at the new UTC library (a total value of $65).
Volunteers are asked to allocate two (2) hours of time throughout the festivities for their tasks. Possible tasks include driving a writer to his/her obligations during the Celebration events; manning reception at various venues and workshops; or, assisting with book sales at the Tivoli Theatre.
Those who are interested in volunteering for the Celebration of Southern Literature must fill out a form, which can be found on the Southern Lit Alliance website. Please contact Ann Johnson with questions.
The program for the 2015 Celebration of Southern Literature features a wide array of events and authors. Attendees may participate in workshops and social occasions, learn about fascinating topics in panel discussions, and listen to talented writers read from their work.
