WUTC Invites Public to Record Stories for Oral History Project on 11/13

On November 13 from 3 to 6 p.m., WUTC FM 88.1 will set up a mobile recording site on the third floor of the Chattanooga Public Library.  The public is invited to come share their memories and stories of life in Chattanooga as we celebrate the city’s 175th birthday.  These recordings will be archived and included in a time capsule to be buried on Saturday, November 15.  Excerpts of the interviews will also be aired on WUTC 88.1 FM.

Potential story topics could include:

-How a significant local history event affected you or your family

-Changes you’ve seen in Chattanooga during your life

-Your happiest memory or best day in the city

-What Chattanooga was like when you were a child

For more information about the oral history project, contact Michael Edward Miller at Mike-Miller@utc.edu or 423-425-2224.
